All Vehicle Test
Perhaps you remember the Minotaur, the mythical beast who was half man, half bull. He was dark and powerful. But unlike the Minotaur, our instrument is so small that we named it “Minitaur” - just as strong, but amazingly small and robust.

Two great models
The DEWE-101-V comes with all of the analog, digital and CAN inputs listed above and below, PLUS a built-in 1 Hz GPS interface and sensor. With this you can easily record and display GPS parameters such as speed, direction, number of satellites in use, latitude, longitude, and a precise time alignment. Time sync is great for using multiple Dewetron systems in the same test, which cannot be directly connected -- because it allows you to record data in sync, no matter how many Dewetron systems you are using!

The DEWE-101-GPS model replaces the 1 Hz GPS interface with a 100 Hz GPS interface. NOW you have a powerful speed/distance sensor for dynamic vehicle performance testing, built right into the DEWE-101-GPS!

There is a standard connector on the rear panel for plugging in our heads up display. This small display can be mounted on your dashboard, or wherever you like, for easy monitoring of speed and several other GPS parameters.

We also offer a small MOBILE display called the 101-DISP, which is powered directly from the DEWE-101. It features a resistive touchscreen for easy operation!

Small and lightweight
You will never pay excess baggage charges to the airlines when you bring your Minitaur on-board with you, because it weighs in at an astonishing 3.9 lbs (1.8 kg). That's probably less than your notebook computer. Even though it is fully packed with features, it’s only 9 x 3.07 x 1.77 inches (230 x 78 x 45 mm), so it fits in any backpack or carrying case -- making it extremely portable.

• Eight great dynamic analog inputs, which natively handle full bridge sensors and low voltages
• Each of the analog inputs can be adapted to handle IEPE, charge, thermocouples and RTDs using our intelligent MSI interfaces (see below for details)
• Eight advanced counter inputs. Each one can be configured as a counter, timer, RPM converter, encoder input, and more. These inputs are 100% synchronous with the analog inputs, of course.
• 24 digital TTL input lines
• Two high-speed CAN BUS interfaces, so that you can connect up to the data busses in all kinds of cars, trucks, aircraft, trains, and more. Everything is recorded synchronously to a single data file

Software

Most data acquisition software packages allow you to display and record data from A/D cards, to control signal conditioners, and record data to RAM or disk. Of course, DEWESoft handles all that easily - but that’s just the beginning. Imagine if you could plug all these addition devices into your data acquisition system, and add them to your recordings in perfect sync:

• Video cameras - from inexpensive webcams to fast synchronizable cameras, even high speed video cameras, infra-red, and low light cameras

Want to power this system for hours without AC or DC line power? Our Neutrino-4 can power the DEWE-101all day with four batteries inside. You can buy additional batteries and hot swap them for unlimited running time. The Neutrino-4 comes with one battery as standard, but you can add three more, and provide tons of running time for Dewetron DC powered and battery/DC powered systems.
