Overview

The DEWE-4010 was the first Dewetron rack-mounting instrument with a built-in display. And it is uniquely also capable of being used outside the rack - in a wide variety of mobile and portable applications.
One of the first things you notice about the DEWE-4010 is the huge 19" display which fills basically the entire front panel.


On the rear side the massive panel can be equipped with DAQ modules, MDAQ modules, and even a combination! See the MODELS tab for more details.

But it's also possible to carry the system around - and it's made tough enough for portability.

Models

There are three basic versions of this model:

• DEWE-4010 - 16 slots for DAQ plug-in modules (16 dynamic channels)
• DEWE-4011 - Up to 96 MDAQ channels
• DEWE-4012 - 16 slots for DAQ modules and up to 48 MDAQ channels

Which model is right for you? Choose the DEWE-4010 model if you prefer to use DAQ/PAD modules - or choose the DEWE-4011 model if you prefer the greater channel density possible with MDAQ modules. DAQ modules provide isolation and the ultimate in modularity; while MDAQ modules provide the lowest cost per channel and still very high performance via differential inputs.

Then of course we have the DEWE-4012 model, which can support both DAQ and MDAQ modules!

A regular keyboard and mouse are included. Display? Don't worry - there's a huge 19" high resolution display built in to the front panel.

Software

Most data acquisition software packages allow you to display and record data from A/D cards, to control signal conditioners, and record data to RAM or disk. Of course, DEWESoft handles all that easily - but that’s just the beginning. Imagine if you could plug all these addition devices into your data acquisition system, and add them to your recordings in perfect sync:

• Video cameras - from inexpensive webcams to fast synchronizable cameras, even high speed video cameras, infra-red, and low light cameras
• GPS sensors - record your exact position, heading, speed and distance, and draw a real-time map as you move around
• CAN BUS interfaces - view and record dozens - even hundreds of parameters - directly from the CAN bus that is built into every car, truck, motorcycle, most aircraft engines, modern trains, and thousands of CAN based sensors!
• ARINC 429 aircraft data bus, from countless commercial aircraft
• MIL-STD 1553 aircraft data bus, from military aircraft of all kinds
