Overview


DEWE-3111
Eight IEPE inputs
The DEWE-3110-DSA features 8 inputs which have built-in IEPE input signal conditioning. Or you can use any channel for voltage input up to +/-10V. When the IEPE mode is activated, each input provides the constant current excitation that is needed to power piezotronic accelerometers and microphones.

In addition, each of the eight inputs features TEDS, so when you connect any TEDS compatible sensor, it will be read and all of its settings will be added to the on-board sensor database! This is a great feature of Dewetron’s hardware and software: real TEDS compatibility. You can also manually add non-TEDS sensors into the database for “quick pick” during setup.

There are also two high-speed synchronous COUNTER/ENCODER inputs, which we call “super counters,” because each one can handle a full quadrature encoder. Or use them for simpler tach inputs. These are ideal for order tracking, as well as for the rotational and torsional vibration features inside the DEWESoft-DSA software.

Finally there are some digital inputs (TTL level - factory upgradable to higher input levels), and an EPAD connector in case you need to connect some additional low-speed voltage, thermocouple, or RTD inputs.

The DEWE-3110 Thinhand-DSA has our ORION-0824-200 card built in, so therefore it has eight simultaneously sampled inputs with up to 200 kS/s/ch sample rate. Each input can be a low voltage OR an IEPE signal conditioner channel with constant current excitation built in. So it’s made for accelerometers and also low to medium voltage input channels. DEWESoft-PROF is also built-in, and you don’t need to add anything unless you want to! The system is 100% preconfigured and ready to roll as soon as you unpack it and turn it on. But of course you can add some popular accessories, such as our MSI adapters, or some mating cables for the counters.

The ORION-0824-200 A/D card at the heart of the DEWE-3110-DSA provides bullet-proof anti-aliasing filtering, protecting you against the false signals caused by sampling too low.

Inputs


The inputs of the DEWE-3110-DSA are versatile IEPE inputs which provide the constant current needed to power piezotronic accels and mics (aka ICP, or IEPE sensors). The inputs are also TEDS compatible, and will automatically read any TEDS sensors that you use connect, and add them to our sensor database. You can also manually populate the database with your non-TEDS sensors.

Most data acquisition software packages allow you to display and record data from A/D cards, to control signal conditioners, and record data to RAM or disk. Of course, DEWESoft handles all that easily - but that’s just the beginning. ORDER TRACKING
Order tracking is a procedure to transform data, mostly from vibration, to the angle domain based on the frequency of rotation. DEWESoft order tracking takes time domain data and transforms the data based on frequency of rotation and extract any number of harmonics (amplitude and phase angles) which can be displayed in Bode, Nyquist, 3D FFT, real time x-y and orbit plot. TORSIONAL VIBRATION
This module calculates the torsion angle and angular vibration measured from two encoders mounted on each side or the shafts. The difference between the rotations of each side is the torsion twist of the measured shaft. Torsional vibration can be an input for order tracking to give clear idea about dynamic behavior of shaft. Several torsional vibration modules can be combined to measure the complicated transmissions.
