Noise. Vibration. Shock. Recording these parameters requires a DSA, or dynamic signal analyzer. That means that the front-end is made exactly to interface with accelerometers and microphones. It also means 24-bit resolution, simultaneous sampling, and anti-aliasing filtering. Dewetron makes some truly impressive analyzers for dynamic data, in a variety of form factors - benchtop, rack-mounting, or highly portable.

Powerful DEWESoft-DSA software

The DSA edition is the dynamic signal analysis edition of DEWESoft, which includes all advanced capabilities of the PROF edition, PLUS adds these more advanced features and capabilities for industrial acoustic, structural analysis, and machinery diagnosis:
  • Industrial acoustic: real time narrow band FFT, real time 1/1, 1/3, 1/12, 1/24 band octave spectrum
  • Adds a waterfall display to the suite of standard display objects
  • Order tracking extraction and analysis
  • Torsional vibration and static torsion measurement, supports all incremental position encoders
  • Real time A-, B-, C-, D-weighting, sound Level according to IEC 60651, 60804, 61672
  • Human body vibration analysis according to ISO 8041, ISO 2631-1

Great Noise & Vibration platforms

There are several Noise & Vibe platforms to choose from, starting with our DEWE-3100-DSA “all in one” portable system, plus the larger scale DEWE-3200-DSA, and smaller scale DEWE-43-DSA. They all feature 24-bit inputs with brickwallanti-aliasing filtering, sample rates up to 200 kS/s/ch, and flexible signal conditioning that can handle charge and IEPE sensors (among others!). They include DEWESoft-DSA, our top level software version for frequency domain analysis, including order tracking, torsional vibration, and much more. Except for the DEWE-43-DSA, they all feature:
  • Core2Duo processing platform with removable 250 GB HDD
  • Bright 15” touchscreen display
  • Runs hours from its own batteries, or plug it in to 120/240 VAC

Bullet-proof front-end hardware

Every noise & vibration analyzer needs a great, low-noise signal conditioning front-end with a huge dynamic range. This has to be backed up with 24-bit A/D converters with simultaneous sampling to prevent time skew from channel to channel, as well as steep anti-alias filters in the analog domain, to block false signals from being digitized. Dewetron DSA front-ends meet and exceed all of those criteria, and push the envelop even farther in many respects!
  • Simultaneous sampling of all dynamic channels = no time skew
  • 24-bit sigma-delta ADCs on every channel, >100 dB dynamic range
  • Brickwall anti-alias filters in analog domain, then digital filters auto-tuned to the sample rate
