DEWE-50-USB2-8 data acquisition front-end
Overview
It's got eight dynamic analog inputs, each one backed up with a 24-bit AD converter for simultaneous sampling at the highest resolution. And you can use our DAQ series of plugin modules, which means ISOLATION and channel by channel MODULARITY, hands down. We've got DAQ series plugin modules for voltages up to +/-1400V and 1800Vrms isolation .... a UNIVERSAL input module (DAQP-STG) which handles any strain gage, IEPE sensors, charge sensors, voltages, and more ... modules dedicated to IEPE sensors, charge sensors, thermocouples, RTDs and more...

200 kS/s/ch sampling, automatic bullet-proof anti-aliasing ...
The 24-bit ADCs on every channel are the sigma-delta type which have strong anti-aliasing filters built right in. There is an analog AAF filter set to the Nyquist frequency of the top sample rate, plus AAF filters which are set automatically when you change the sample rate. Select any sample rate up to 200 kS/s/ch (simultaneous), for incredible ALIAS-FREE dynamic recordings. The 24-bit ADCs on every channel are the sigma-delta type which have strong anti-aliasing filters built right in. Counter inputs - digital inputs - CAN BUS inputs ...
There are two advanced counter inputs built in as standard (we use LEMO connectors for maximum reliability). Each one can be configured as a counter, timer, RPM converter, encoder input, and more. These inputs are 100% synchronous with the analog inputs, of course. And you can order 6 more advanced counters, for a total of 8 of them, to be built into this model.
Each counter LEMO connector also has three digital TTL input lines on it, so there are 6 synchronous digital inputs as standard (up to 24 when you order the additional 6 counters).
Finally, in addition there are two high speed CAN BUS interfaces, so that you can connect up to the data busses in all kinds of cars, trucks, aircraft, trains, and more. Everything is recorded synchronously to a single data file within DEWESoft, which is included with the DEWE-50-USB2-8.
Easy notebook connectivity
Plug the DEWE-50-USB2-8 into your notebook computer via USB 2.0, and connect the power. This model runs from 10-32 VDC, and includes an AC adapter included. You will have a system up and running within moments. You can add a webcam to your computer, to add powerful VIDEO information to your recorded data.
Expandability
There are several ways that you can expand on the DEWE-50-USB2-8. First, using the 43-SYNC option, you can combine two systems together and use them as if they were one single 16 channel module. The rear panel of the first DEWE-50-USB2-8 has the connectors that you need to power and sync the second unit - even the USB interface is there. There is no loss of performance when you connect two units together: you can still sample all channels at 200 kS/s simultaneously!
Analog Inputs
DAQ series amplifiers are single channel modules. They convert the connected signal to ±5 V, offers high bandwidth and isolation. These modules can be used in any DEWETRON data acquisition system which has a built-in module rack. The most attractive feature of DAQ modules is that they can be plugged and unplugged any time, by YOU, the user. For ultimate flexibility, go for the DAQ module series!

The DEWE-50-USB2-8 has 8 slots for and combination of DAQ modules that you would like to plug in to this system. Most customers appreciate being able to have a variety of modules at their disposal, which they can plug in at any time that they like, in any combination, Did you know that you can plug and unplug these modules while the system is powered on? This is absolutely no problem. When you change modules, a few button presses is all it takes to enable it in the slot that you have plugged it into. These modules are truly "plug and play."
Software
Most data acquisition software packages allow you to display and record data from A/D cards, to control signal conditioners, and record data to RAM or disk. Of course, DEWESoft handles all that easily - but that’s just the beginning.
