The DEWE-2600 is a great BENCHTOP data acquisition system. It is available in three basic versions - the 2600 model features 16 slots for our DAQ modules; the 2601 can accept up to eight of our 8-channel MDAQ-SUB modules (64 channels), and the 2602 accepts a combination of 16 DAQ modules and either 16 or 32 MDAQ channels. All versions can be upgraded to have the battery/DC power input option DEWE-2600 series models are “all in one” data acquisition systems, meaning that it is a single integrated platform with data acquisition signal conditioning, analog to digital converters, and software - and a 100% integrated computer to run it all. The screen is protected by the keyboard tray, which can be detached easily.

Overview


DEWE-2600
The DEWE-2600 is perhaps the most versatile and freely configurable data acquisition platform that we have ever made. You can configure the rear panel with many different combinations of input module types and quantities. The front panel is made up primarily of a bright 15” XGA resolution display. There are also audio speakers for multimedia data presentation. When not in use, the screen is protected by a solid aluminum panel, which detaches easily and houses a splash resistant keyboard and touchpad.

The hard drive is a removable one, and a very fast drive, ensure the best possible data acquisition throughput to disk. Inside the DEWE-2600 is a Core2Duo computer running WindowsXP. The standard RAM is 1 GB (3 max), and a 250 GB HDD. Many computer related upgrades are available, including solid state hard drives, and more.

The DEWE-2600 portable instrument can be configured to be a very powerful recorder, a FFT analyzer, a power analyzer, a combustion analyzer or a transient recorder. That´s already unique - but you even can use a combination of these instruments running at the same time on one machine. The ingenious driver and software design are the base for this outstanding power and the clever modular mechanical design lets the ultimate flexible instrument come true. The incomparable DEWE-ORION data acquisition cards and the accurate DAQP and MDAQ modules guarantee measurements with highest precision even in harsh environments.

Due to its modular nature, you can turn your DEWE-2600 to any kind of instrument you need today and by upgrading the features over time according to your future requirements.

Models


There are three basic versions of this series:
  • DEWE-2600 - 16 slots for our DAQ single-channel ISOLATION modules - ideal for power applications, or when large channel-channel and channel-ground isolation is required for whatever reason
  • DEWE-2601 - up to 8 positions for our MDAQ 8-channel input modules - therefore, up to 64 MDAQ inputs can be installed
  • DEWE-2602 - a combination of the two versions above: there are 16 module slots plus up to 4 positions for MDAQ-SUB modules (32 MDAQ inputs can be installed)

Most data acquisition software packages allow you to display and record data from A/D cards, to control signal conditioners, and record data to RAM or disk. Of course, DEWESoft handles all that easily - but that’s just the beginning. Imagine if you could plug all these addition devices into your data acquisition system, and add them to your recordings in perfect sync:

Options & Upgrades


ORION
Each system needs to have these elements added in order to be a complete system:

A/D card:
Signal conditioning:
  • Up to 16 DAQ modules (for DEWE-2600 and DEWE-2602 models only)
  • 1 x MDAQ-BASE-5 base card for each 16 channels that will be installed (DEWE-2601 and DEWE-2602 models only)
  • Any two MDAQ-SUB series 8-channel modules for each MDAQ-BASE-5 that is installed
  • Software: DEWESoft data acquisition software (SE version minimum, PROF required for multicard systems, or for 22 or 24-bit A/D cards)
Popular upgrades (factory installed):
  • CAN BUS - be sure to order an ORION card with 2 x synchronous CAN BUS interfaces, plus the DEWESoft-OPT-CAN software option. If you want the ability to output messages onto the CAN bus, please also order the DEWESoft-OPT-CAN-OUT software option.
  • COUNTERS - the two synchronous counters included as a minimum on all ORION cards are wired by default to the standard 37-pin DSUB ACCESORY connector. If you would also like 2 x LEMO counter inputs installed on the front panel, please order the ORION-CNT-2 option, and mating connectors.
  • MDAQ-FILT filter for the inputs -- this is very popular, as it provides the best possible signal performance.
  • Larger hard drive inside (standard is 250 GB HDD -- larger drives and solid state drives are available as upgrades)

Want to power this system for even longer without line power? Order the 24 VDC model plus one of our Neutrino-4 battery charger/supply units. The Neutrino-4 can power this system for hours at a time! You can buy additional batteries and hot swap them into the Neutrino-4 for even more running time. The Neutrino-4 comes with one battery as standard, but you can add three more, and provide tons of running time for Dewetron DC powered and battery/DC powered systems.
