DEWETrans Transient capture software
DEWETrans is at the heart of all Dewetron TRANSIENT RECORDER (DEWE-TR) systems. It looks similar to DEWESoft, but the difference is that with our transient systems, the sampling is done so fast that they cannot stream the data to the hard drive like our regular data acquisition systems can do under DEWESoft. Instead, DEWE-TR systems capture their data to RAM which is located on the SPECTRUM series A/D cards inside these systems.
Speed demons
Capturing direct to RAM on the A/D cards means that our DEWE-TR systems can record as fast as the card can -- in the hundreds of megasamples per second realm. Another benefit of these systems is the advanced triggering capability that they have. And in addition, you can combine different SPECTRUM cards in the same unit, even with different bit resolutions and sample rates, and use them at the same time! You could record 8 channels at 25 MS/s/ch AND 2 channels of 100 MS/s/ch, with different triggering characteristics, and more. It is really flexible. Here is a look at the setup screen:
Immediate storage & review
When the system triggers, the data are stored in the pre/post buffers according to your setup, and then immediately they are transferred to the hard drive, so you can immediately rearm and capture again -- or review the previous captured data right on the screen.
Analyze mode - REPLAY, EXPORT, SHARE DATA !
Here you can replay any captured data file - zoom in and take measurements with the cursors anywhere. Then make printouts, or export the data to other file formats. You can get the data out for analysis in other tools such as Flexpro, Matlab, and more.
