ZT Scope Cards

top
ZTEC scope cards are available from 500 MS/s to 4 GS/s sampling rates. They capture data to RAM which is right on the A/D card. In this way they can capture data at incredible sample rates, which are far too high for continuous data acquisition to disk. Great, easy to use software is included with each card, and several popular computer platforms are available to host these cards.

Great Software

software
Zscope M class software controls the hardware and turns it into an incredible instrument.
  • Looks and feels like a benchtop oscilloscope
  • Panning and zooming for interactive waveform inspection
  • Operates with or without instrument
  • Rapid refresh rate for all waveform lengths
  • Export screenshots and waveform data
  • Runs on Windows 2000/XP/Vista and Linux

You can even add an ARB card to these systems, and generate any combination of these 18 standard waveforms: sine, square, triangle, ramp, pulse, sinc pulse, Gaussian pulse, Lorentz pulse, AM, FM, DC, haversine, havercosine, half cycle sine, noise, multi-tone, & serial data. The arbitrary waveform generator outputs up to 32M samples per channel using an 8M sample waveform library. Each of the two output channels is completely independent, and the dual memory on each channel enables simultaneous playing of one waveform while loading another. Now you can generate a stimulus and measure the response, with sampling up to 4 GS/s per channel - in the same system at the same time.

On-board processing power

cards
Each scope card provides a weath of on-board capabilities which turn the ordinary into extraordinary:

  • High-speed data transfer rates up to full bus bandwidth specifications
  • Embedded 64 bit signal processing for high-precision vertical, horizontal and frequency-domain measurements
  • Four calculation channels for waveform math, digital filtering, FFT, and more
  • Four non-volatile reference channels for storing and comparing waveforms
  • Store and recall configuration data from non-volatile memory
  • Multiple acquisition modes such as averaging, high-resolution, and envelope
  • Advanced measurement modes include limit and mask testing, peak detect, and gated measurements
  • Pattern, glitch, pulse width, video, and state triggering with full A-B trigger capability
  • Timing and triggering capabilities allowing multiple board synchronization

Flexible platforms

There is a great selection of host computer platforms available, from ultra-portable DEWE-3118 to the rack-mounting DEWE-808. In bettween are portable and benchtop models like the DEWE-3208 and DEWE-3038. Each platform can be configured with anywhere from 1 to 6 of the ZT series scope and ARB cards:

Broad selection of Cards

There are basically two kinds of ZT series cards: those which capture high speed analog waveforms and transients, and one arbitrary waveform generator card. There are more details on the next pages, but here is a quick overview of what’s available:
