ORION Series A/D cards

All ORION series cards are SIMULTANEOUS SAMPLING - no multiplexing! Cards are available with 16, 22, and 24-bit resolution. The 22 and 24-bit cards have sigma-delta ADCs, which are ideal for dynamic measurements such as noise and vibration, due to their powerful anti-aliasing filters on board, dynamic range, and tremendous vertical axis resolution.
16-bit ORION A/D cards
ORION 16-bit cards employ successive approximation ADCs, and are ideally suited for a wide range of applications in electrical testing, power testing, and much more. All ORION cards feature at least 2 synchronous counter/encoder inputs and 8 digital I/O lines, and more are optionally available -- including higher voltage input levels and programmable detection levels up to 40V. In addition, two synchronous CAN BUS interfaces can be installed on any ORION card.

Our most popular ORION card is the 1616-100. It provides a top notch Dewetron performance at a great price, with all the features that you need. The model number pattern of the last digits is the same for most ORION cards which have six varieties:
- -100 The first card has 8 digital I/O lines, and 2 counter/encoder inputs (which can alternatively be used as 8 TTL digital inputs)
- -101 Same as -100 version except adds 2 synchronous high speed CAN BUS interfaces
- -102 Same as -100 except that the counter/encoders are increased from 2 to 10, or alternatively up to 40 TTL digital inputs
- -103 Same as -102 except adds 2 synchronous high speed CAN BUS interfaces
- -104 Same as -100 except that 8 TTL inputs are added with 25V input protection, and either 8 more counter/encoders, or 24 more digital input lines with programmable threshold levels (0..40 V), input voltage range -35 to 60 V, AC/DC coupling
- -105 Same as -104 except adds 2 synchronous high speed CAN BUS interfaces

ORION-3216-100 Cards
This 32 channel card has only 2 varieties:
- -100 The first card has 8 digital I/O lines, and 2 counter/encoder inputs, which can alternatively be used as 8 TTL digital inputs
- -101 Same as -100 version except adds 2 synchronous high speed CAN BUS interfaces

ORION-1616-500 Cards
This 16 channel ORION card features 500 kS/s/ch maximum sample rate:
- -500 -501, -502, -503, -504, -505 (same model number pattern as the -100 card)


ORION-0816-1000 Cards
This 8 channel ORION card features 1000 kS/s/ch maximum sample rate:
- -1000 -1001, -1002, -1003, -1004, -1005 (same pattern as the -100 card)

The same range of options that are available for the 16-bit series, are available in the 22-bit series, including higher voltage levels for the digital inputs, more digital inputs and counters, and CAN bus interfaces. 22-bit cards feature ADVANCED counters - so each one can handle a full quadrature encoder!

24-bit ORION A/D cards

The same range of options that are available for the 16-bit series, are available in the 24-bit series, including higher voltage levels for the digital inputs, more digital inputs and counters, and CAN bus interfaces. 24-bit ORION cards feature ADVANCED counters - so each one can handle a full quadrature encoder!

Our top DYNAMIC performance ORION series cards is the 1624-200 series. They provide top Dewetron performance for a broad range of applications in sound and vibration, and noise and vibration. This is a 16-channel card, but there are also 8 and even 4 channel models, as you will see below the 16-channel version.

ORION-0824-200 series
This is an 8 channel version of the 24-bit ORION, with an important distinction: it has BUILT-IN IEPE SIGNAL CONDITIONING! So you can directly connect accelerometers and microphones! This is the same card that is built in to the DEWE-3103-8 model.

ORION-0424-200 series
Finally, a high performance 4 channel card, with BNC inputs directly on the PC card edge! Ideal for research and education applications. Just add DEWESoft-6-PROF and your computer, and you have a great measuring tool. Each input is differential, and can measure voltage OR IEPE accelerometers and microphones. Main features:

- 4 analog channels for voltage or ICP (4 / 8 mA) inputs,TEDS support
- BNC connectors for direct signal connection
- 24-bit resolution, simultaneous sampling
- 204.8 kS/s per channel, anti-aliasing filters
