One of the best things about Dewetron instruments is that they are so flexible and adaptable to any application, any day. Fire up the software and configure your Dewetron to record whatever you like, including:
- Analog data from every kind of sensor - strain, pressure, load, current, temperature, etc.
- Digital pulses from various tachs and encoders
- CAN BUS data from up to 8 CAN buses per system
- VIDEO data from analog bullet cams, firewire and USB cameras, infra red cameras, high speed cameras, and more
- GPS data from simple 1 Hz GPS sensors ... all the way up to 100/200 Hz GPS sensors suitable for dynamic speed/distance testing and CAPS applications
- And more!
It is this flexibility on the input side, and the fact that recordings are made directly to solid state hard disks inside the system, with all channels in sync with each other, which makes Dewetron systems so versatile, and therefore so popular among test engineers. And forget about programming: Dewesoft is a turn key application with the power of a program like LabVIEW, but without the need to program it. Configure your channels, click and drag elements onto the screen and assign inputs to them, and start recording.
Above is a brake test where two video cameras were used, as well as our DEWE-VGPS-200C dynamic GPS sensor, which provided the precise speed and braking distance graph that you see on the lower right corner of the screen. Various gauges and meters were drag-and-dropped onto the display to show the brake temperature, ambient temperature, and more. You can also see the GPS track in the top left corner. A DEWE-CAM-01 was mounted inside the vehicle, where the Dewetron system was located. Meanwhile, a second test engineer used an infra red camera to record the rise time of the brake temperature visually in the IR spectrum. This separate video file was imported and synced into Dewesoft a few minutes later, so that all of the data can be replayed in perfect sync, and analyzed easily.
