DEWETRON Driver Assistance system is called CAPS (Combined Active and Passive Safety). These systems are used for developing and evaluating CAPS features such as driver assistance, comfort and active safety systems. Together with TÜV SÜD Automotive and GeneSys Elektronik GmbH we have developed an application package for standardized maneuvers, to test and evaluate a wide range of CAPS features.

In addition to CAPS testing, the system can be expanded with additional hardware and software features. Further automotive measurement tasks such as hybrid testing on the power train, brake test, together with synchronized video data is also possible - The possibilities are endless!

Driver assistance is one of the hottest topics today in automotive development. The more the car can help the driver, who is more and more distracted by other tasks during driver, the safer the roads will be for everyone. We can see the results of these studies and developments now in every car, whether is is back-up sensors to help you park, or adaptive cruise control which prevents you from running up on someone without realizing it. And Dewetron is right in the middle of the testing of these important developments.
