The DEWE-214 is our top of the line IN VEHICLE testing instrument. It’s small size and power system were specifically designed for mobile/vehicle applications. It’s quite at home in your car, truck, motorcycle, tank, military vehicle, train, boat, NASCAR vehicle....

The DEWE-214 has been engineered to provide a great combination of data acquisition power in a robust mechanical package.

It has the highest shock and vibe ratings of any DEWE instrument in its class, and the widest operating temperature range.

It is equally at home in a huge combine, on a train, strapped to the back of a motorcycle, in a military vehicle, inside a race car … basically anything with wheels or treads, moving on or off the road. Bumps, shocks, frozen mornings at 10,000 feet, or in the desert at 120°F in the shade (and there's no shade!).

Vehicle Dynamics
Analog signals like acceleration, temperature, strain, pressure, force, etc. are directly connected to the instruments as well as CAN-bus, FlexRay, GPS, digital states, counters, encoders and up to 4 hardware synchronized video cameras.

Implementation of hardware sync to major sensor systems like Kistler Roadyn® 2000 wheel force transducers and GeneSys ADMA INS/GPS system enable reduction of editing and analysis times by up to 50 %. At the same time, the quality of the analysis results can be improved by a factor of 5 or even 10.

To test the controllability of a vehicle for proving the FS (= functional safety) aspects, according to ISO26262, different driving maneuvers with simulation of sensor malfunctions are performed.

The system architecture ensures comparable and reproducible tests with driver guidance to drive predefined maneuvers. You can also record your own maneuvers.
